This jutsu creates a box-like barrier around an area defined by the four users of it. Anything that touches the barrier will burst into red flames. As long as the users of the jutsu remain active and unharmed, this barrier can never be broken. In addition to the outside barrier, the Sound Four were also able to create an additional inner barrier around themselves, thus ensuring that the barrier would never be unwillingly broken. Those using the technique seem to be able to touch the barrier with no problem.
