Lecture: is basically giving you information on the lesson you will be doing. Also this is were the students can ask questions to the teacher on anything.

Lesson: Is what the teacher taught you and the students now go ahead and try it for them-selfs. This is different than training. Training is doing whatever you want to do. The lessons is doing what the teacher taught you and that is it
