Clan: Garouzoku // The Garouzoku clan is a clan native to the lands of Hidden Sand Village, located in Wind Country, and they are said to be cursed due to the actions of the clan’s founders (Tenma & Naiyume Hiwatari). The two were very cruel towards others and eventually they got what was coming to them, in the form of that curse. The curse shows through upon the time of the full moon, where they are forced to take the form of “desert wolves” aka Coyotes, and more often than not the traits of their transformations show through in their human forms. The Garouzoku clan are very cold and distant towards most others, and are known as “The Wolves of the Desert.” Many of the clan’s Jutsu seem to be similar to the Inuzuka clan, such as the use of beast mimicry – without the use of a canine farmilar.

The transformation shares a similarity with a Coyote, but even so looks more wolfish, and has a bigger build. The form has rather large ears with great hearing ability, a long bushy tail, and large clawed paws (the entire fur coloration is a mixture of browns, tans, and even some shades of black to blend in with the scenery). Even though they are cursed to take change during the full moon, the Garouzoku clan have learned to shapeshift into their cursed transformations, and more often than not they work closely in “pack structures.” They all seem to have dark redish-gold colored eyes, and either black or brown colored hair (while in their normal forms, but they usually carry some traits over to their wolf-selves).

Looks: Heru is a young lad with black semi-short spiked hair, and redish-gold eyes. His complexion is clean looking and such, he only has a slight tan (due to the fact that he always wears hooded jackets, and loose clothing). Heru’s clothing consists of (as stated above) a dark black hooded jacket (it is made of a cloth like material, due to the climate in Sunagakure), and black pants of the same material. Both of his fists are covered in white bandages, and he wears the standard shinobi (black) footwear. Heru has a spiraled birthmark on the upper portion of his right arm, and it somewhat resembles a cresent moon. When Heru transforms, his form is a youthful “desert wolf” and is smaller in size than that of the older clan members (this is natural for younger Garouzoku). Heru’s fur coloring in this form also is a sandy color with bits of dark brown and black to it, and a long dark tipped tail. During the time he uses Garouzoku Toboe no Jutsu, his fingernails become claws, his teeth becomed fanged, and his hair becomes some what wild or shaggily spiked. Three weapon holsters can be found one his hip, one on his rear and one his right leg.

Personality: Heru is generally a quiet kid whom doesn’t have to many friends outside of his family, due to this nature, and seems to be sort of scary in appearance – which most likely scares people away from him. He is a very intelligent boy, and his father has very high hopes of him becoming the Garouzoku clan leader one day. Heru rarely smiles, unless it is a fanged grin or smirk, and is very aware mentally and physically. The boy also prefers to be alone most of the time to meditate or practice what he learns from his father, or at the academy. Heru is not very shy when it comes to speaking his mind though, and tends to show great skills as being a leader, not a follower. He is one whom values fighting and does not give up in difficult situations, as he’ll usually think things through beforehand.

Jutsu Name; Bunshin no Jutsu

Description; Bunshin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique which every ninja learns at the Ninja Academy. The Bunshin technique creates a copy of the ninja without substance. The copy resembles the ninja in every way. This clone can function as a distraction or as means to confuse one's opponent. As soon the Bunshin gets attacked or comes into contact with an opponent, it will disperse.

Description; Henge no Jutsu is a ninjutsu technique which every ninja learns at the Ninja Academy. Henge allows the ninja to transform themselves into any person or object. This allows the ninja to move with stealth or to trick their opponents.

Description; Kawarimi no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu technique. When in danger the ninja will quickly substitute themself with another nearby object. This can be a block of wood or even another person. This allows the ninja to quickly flee and hide while the original object takes the brunt of their opponents attack.

Description; Sabaku Ookami Henge is a technique used by the Garouzoku clan to changed into their cursed selves with out the aid of the full moon. They become feral like "desert wolves" (Coyotes) with larger ears and builds to them. Each of the clan members transformation’s vary in size and color, and usually younger clan members are not as big or as strong as the more experienced Garouzoku.

Jutsu Name; Garouzoku Toboe no Jutsu (Garouzoku howling)

Description; Garouzoku Toboe is an offensive technique used by Garouzoku clan to change partially. Instead of using the Sabaku Ookami Henge, the clan members use their chakra to become more canine like, as such with fangs and claws. While using this technique, they can claw or bite an adversary with much ferocity and use only a call that other Garouzoku clan or Canines can understand. The call is a simple howl that can be modified slightly with chakra, which ables the clan member to identify one another at long distances.

History/Background Story: Heru was born into the Garouzoku clan of Hidden Sand Village, during the month of October. His parents, Kurotsume (his father) and Mitsuko (his mother), loved him as much as they could, but also kept with the clan’s traditions of rasing their infants to be strong leaders (so they only showed him love when necessary). Heru was a whiney little child as he grew up, but soon he gained his quiet nature as he became an outcast amongst the other children he knew, and rarely was he accepted, unless it was by his own clan or family’s children. The boy was an only child, and was often given great amounts of attention when it came to training, which later led him to become very intelligent.

At the age of six, Heru was enrolled into the Hidden Sand’s Ninja Academy to gain extra training, and that is where he could really show others his abilities, even if they were a bit wild. Heru was only teased the first month he came into the academy, because he quickly learned how to use “scare tatics” to get what he wanted, and those students that had teased him eventually backed off out of fear. Once the boy became eight years of age, he experienced his first “cursed transformation” which was painful and somewhat scary to the boy. But Heru had mangaged to get through it, and later he learned how to transform with out the full moon. Heru is still enrolled in the Academy today, where he trains daily, and still trains himself mentally and physically when he can do so outside of the school.

Roleplay Sample: The skies were colored with various shades of red toned colors, and the sun was setting calmly amongst it. A young figure stood tall and proud on his home’s balcony, gazing at the full view of the sun as it began to disappear for the night. “The sun. It almost seems happy to leave the sky..that is, unless the moon is turning forceful with vengance.” Said the figure, lowering his hood from his jacket, gazing upward. The boy was known as Heru, and was one his parents viewed as being strong enough to lead the clan. But even though that was his mother and father’s wish, it would seem nearly impossible to become truth.

There was always someone standing in his way, and so while he wanted what his parents wanted for him, he knew that he would have to become much more skilled than what he already was. Heru knew what barrier stood in his way, and so wanted to crush it with as much force as possible, when he knew that he had the advantage. The barrier being the clan leader’s son, Kuromeru, was what stopped him as he was already Genin in rank – already way past his own level. Heru was only an Academy student and one that was not even thought of as being a real ninja! How would he ever accomplish defeating this child, let alone standing up to Kuromeru’s father?

“I suppose father will handle the clan leader. But what troubles me is that punk, Kuromeru. He is already Genin, and I am still a lowly Academy Student!” Heru said with grief, soon seeing the sun slowly fade and the night appearing to cast its shadow. “Whatever. I shouldn’t think about it so much. He’ll get what’s coming to him anyway, so I shouldn’t worry.” The boy said quietly, trying to reassure himself. He just couldn’t get the thought of it off his mind though. What was he going to do?

You mean take out all non-clan Jutsu that is D-ranked? My Clan's Jutsu was all D-ranked, so what needs to be changed?

He means that any jutsu that is above E-Rank must be taken out, but if the jutsu is one that requires your bloodline then you can keep it as long as it's D-Rank. Any Blood line jutsu over that must be taken out.

Description; Shunshin no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu technique. The ninja will appear and disappear in an instant, allowing them to retreat or attack suddenly. To facilitate the movement the ninja will often use nearby elements such as mist, sand or leaves to mask their appearance or disappearance.
