Looks: Anei is tall and thin, with very gentle, elegant, feminine features. His limbs are longer and smaller than most, reminiscent of a spider. His dark hair is usually kept relatively short, never going down past his chin, although he likes it long enough to get into his face every now and then. He is almost always wearing a long leather coat, simple enough to be distinctly recognized as his own, with short sleeves rarely seen on a trench coat, and a wide collar. As is suitable for his feminine build, Anei prefers to keep things sleek beyond the coat, and wears tight leather gloves that go over halfway up to his elbow, as well as next to skin tight leather pants, sporting a purely aesthetic purposed zipper around his thigh on each leg. His shirt, black, like everything else he wears, is, unlike everything else he wears, a simple and comfortable fabric, and somewhat loose, the collar of the shirt rising up his neck. Ever a supporter of personal individuality, Anei is often seen wearing random bits of jewelry as well as a few accessories. Several cross necklaces, spiked bracelets, silver bands and studded belts are most common.

Personality: Anei is very confident in himself, although he never shows this by openly gloating or seeking opportunities to prove himself. His confidence is very subtle, and is purely visible in the way he interacts with people. Never bothering to make himself look any higher than anyone else, but never willing to let someone put him down or insult him. His mind is his single greatest asset. Anei has always had an almost instinctual knack for figuring people out, psychologically and sociologically, and has a very calculating and yet intuitive mind. Being able to deduce things and mold them with his initial perceptions, Anei often appears to have a psychic ability, or at the very least an incredible skill for observation and calculation. This goes well with the trait he prides himself on most, his communication skills. Of course there are some situations you simply can’t talk your way out of, but Anei has gotten through very sticky situations with words as his tool. He is very calm and patient, making it difficult for people to become upset with him and lose their cool. He is logical and very persuasive, and charismatic above all. Despite his feminine demeanor and over the top dress style, Anei has had little trouble in the past seducing women, a favorite pass time of his, or even persuading men to do as he wishes, although he does make it a point not to engage with them the same way he does his female companions. Being logical and calculating, persuasive and charming, Anei is usually able to control situations, hostile or otherwise. It irritates him greatly if he is not in control of things, in one way or another, and he may become irritable, though it shows as a sort of mild disgust. He never loses his temper, it is rumored he has none to lose. He tries to keep a smile on his face, whether it be real or not, and tries to keep the mood light, unless he chooses for some reason to darken it, laughing carelessly even in the heat of battle.

Special Characteristics: Aside from the obviously distinctive and feminine clothing and build, Anei is feminine in voice and action as well. The way he moves is very fluid, much like a slithering snake, although in battle some have compared him to a spider instead. His voice is high and smooth, rich and yet somehow hollow.

Description:
The eight chakra gates are eight specific points on a person's chakra circulatory system. They limit the overall flow of chakra within a person's body. The basis for the idea of the chakra gates comes from the body's limits on the functions within it. This makes the body much weaker, but it keeps the body from expiring too soon. By opening these gates, the user can surpass their own physical limits at the cost of extreme damage to their own bodies.

1. Opening (Initial) releases the brain's limit on the total strain on the muscles, giving the user five times their normal strength. (Causes fatigue.)

As the name suggests, this technique is simply a very quiet method of killing an opponent, usually from behind with a blade. Additionally, because the user is very silent, it cannot be defended against. The user will often slit their opponent's throat, preventing any cry that might give them away. Zabuza was a master of this technique, and was even good enough to track and kill opponents through sound alone.

Background Story: Anei grew up in a village on the outskirts of the hidden sound, and at some point during the sound ninja’s conquest, his village was raided, his parents killed while he was 8 years old. One of the sound ninja saw a sort of cold malevolence in his eyes, and took him under his wing. Anei was never directly involved with Orochimaru or any other notable ninja from the sound village, but was technically a part of that movement, taught the ways of the streets by his mentor, he learned quickly the ways of the world, and the ways of the people in it, eager to learn how they thought, how they acted and reacted, what drove them… Anei began to learn quickly how to recognize certain characteristics and what they could mean, what might cause them, the reasoning behind them…As he grew into his later teens Anei found he had a natural ability to sense such things, and used it to his advantage, manipulating those around him subtly until he slowly came to have everything he needed. Enough money to get by, a place to stay…Throughout his years his ninja mentor was teaching him how to fight, all about chakra molding, control, manipulation, starting with the basics at a young age and building upon them, catering to Anei specifically and exclusively. At the age of 20, Anei was given the title of Jounin within the sound village. He denied the rank, and killed his mentor, as vengeance for the death of his parents, and wandered for a couple years, training day and night, seeking the infamous group known as Akatsuki.

Roleplay Sample: :: Anei raised his brows in unison, an amused smile playing across his face as his eyes lit up, and the more Saisho spoke, the wider his grin grew, until the light in his eyes outshone the stars above them and his grin spread from ear to ear, until finally his mentor addressed him ::
‘Anei…What is it you find so amusing? You’ve performed remarkably well in all of your training; I’m giving you a Jounin ranking here in the sound village…”
:: So saying, Saisho pulled out a shiny new forehead protector, the symbol of sound engraved into it. He handed it over to Anei, who took it in his pale hands, taking a moment to admire the glint of the moon in the metallic surface. He loved the pale sheen the moonlight put on metallic surfaces. He smiled happily to himself, and remembered a night long ago…almost twelve years ago to the day. He had been outside, looking up at the moon when suddenly a scream had penetrated his ears. And by the time he had gone inside, he saw his parents growing paler by the second, their life’s blood pooling on the wooden floor around them. Looking up in shock, he had seen the man standing before him now, Saisho, his mentor. Glancing up at the moon now, holding the headband in his hands, he smiled softly, remembering their faces, before they had become pale, remember their smiles. He tossed the headband back at Saisho, and while he was busy catching it, Anei whipped out his katana, and the blade had cut clean through Saisho’s neck before the ringing of the metal escaping the sheath had faded. Anei took a moment to stare up the length of his blade. He really loved the red glint that the blood gave off in the moonlight. He had ever since that night…Taking a deep breath of the cool night air, Anei sheathed his blade while the body of his former mentor twitched on the ground, his blood pouring over the sound headband. Anei turned away, walking in no particular direction, his coat swaying smoothly behind him, his cool voice floating melodically through the crisp night atmosphere:: “For my parents.”
